Enterprise Sri Lanka and Lakdiriya Special Promotions

The Government of Sri Lanka introduced a special credit facility by establishing a unique infrastructure to financially support every Sri Lankan to become the entrepreneur they dreamt of with Enterprise Sri Lanka concessionary loan schemes. NSB, is proud to join had with Government’s initiative to develop local industries. NSB has disbursed 2983 loans as at 26th September 2018.

NSB introduced “Lakdiriya”, a special loan scheme under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Enterprise and Kandy City Development (MPEKCD) with special interest rates and relaxed credit terms for NSB loan schemes.

As the initial stage of  Enterprise Sri Lanka and Lakdiriya Special Promotions, credit counters will be opened in 22 NSB branches island-wide, namely;

  4. Kandy
  5. Jaffna
  6. Wellawatta
  7. Nugegoda
  8. Maharagama
  9. Piliyandala
  10. Gampaha
  11. Kalutara

  13. Kurunegala
  14. Galle
  15. Matara
  16. Borella
  17. Negambo
  18. Homagama
  19. Chilaw
  20. Kuliyapitiya
  21. Rathnapura
  22. Kirindiwela

 

Highlights of promotions held are as follows.

  • First counter was opened in July 2018 at NSB Kandy by the Honourable Minister of Public Enterprise & Kandy City Development; Lakshman Kiriella.

 

  • Second counter was opened in August 2018 at NSB Mount Lavinia by the Honourable Minister of Public Enterprise & Kandy City Development; Lakshman Kiriella.

 


  • NSB participated in Enterprise Sri Lanka V2025 Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media during 29th, 30th and 31st August 2018 at Moneragala. This exhibition aimed at encouraging people to elevate their entrepreneurial skills and enlighten them on opportunities available for them to receive financial benefits.

 

  • Third counter was opened in September 2018 at NSB Ratnapura. Honourable Minister; Mr.A. A. Wijethunga. Honourable Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms; Mrs. Thalatha Atukorale, handed over more than 200 loan files during the ceremony held at Ratnapura.

 

  • Fourth loan counter was opened on 11th October 2018 at Kaduwela NSB branch by Honourable State Minister of International Trade, Mr. Sujeewa Senasinghe.

 

  • Lakdiriya loan file distribution ceremony was held on 19th October 2018 at Kandy by the Honourable Minister of Public Enterprise & Kandy City Development; Lakshman Kiriella.

  • Fifth loan counter was opened on 20th October 2018 at Kuliyapitiya NSB Branch by the Honourable Minister of Education; Mr. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.

  • Sixth loan counter was opened on 20th October 2018 at Kurunegala NSB Branch by the Honourable State Minister of Home Affairs; Mr. J. C. Alawathuwala and Honourable Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation; Mr. Ashok Abeysinghe.
