There is a nominal service charge on certain bill payments and others are free of charge.

Will the accounts be updated online ?

Online bill settlement facility is available for SLT, Dialog, Mobitel and HNB Assurance. The account will be updated online at real time.

NSB Internet Banking Facility

Wherever you are NSB Internet Banking service facilitates you to do online banking via internet at your convenience.


How can I get this service?

You must be a Savings Account holder of NSB. Applications could be downloaded from NSB website or are available at your nearest branch, Duly fill them and handover the same to your primary account holding branch for processing. Once you get the authentication passwords you are free to enjoy the convenience we provide.

 

What are the services available?

  • Can link any number of accounts that belong to you. (Savings, Fixed Deposits, Loans, Easy accounts, NRFC/RFC, etc..)
  • Balance Inquiries.

SMS & Phone Banking Facility

SMS facility has been introduced to provide banking facilities to customers who use any mobile network to access their bank accounts and carry out their transactions with convenience.


How can I get registered?

You can collect an application form from any NSB branch; duly fill it and handover to the NSB branch where the primary savings account is held. After the verification process you will receive a SMS message with essential log in procedures.


What are the services available?

  • Check Savings Account balances.
  • Transfer funds to other accounts held by the customer and also to any third party account held at NSB.
  • Pay Bills/ Insurance Premiums/ Credit Card payments etc. of Institutions which have arrangements with the Bank.
  • Receipt of SMS alerts.

In addition to the SMS banking facility, customers can utilize any fixed land line telephone with “Tone Technology” to carry out the Tele Banking facility simultaneously. CDMA telephones also can be used for both SMS banking and Phone banking. The customer will be guided through the Tele banking process, once he/ she dials the assigned telephone number, which is different from the SMS telephone number.

NSB SpeedCash

What is Speed Cash?

NSB SpeedCash is a secured and fastest over the counter fund transfer service which facilitates to transfer funds between any two parties.

Do you need an Account with NSB to transfer funds?

No.. Not at all, whether you are an account holder or not, NSB SpeedCash service could facilitate fund transfers for you.

What are the methods available?
  • Deposit in cash

    Individuals can deposit cash at a NSB branch over the counter, to transfer funds to the intended receiver by filling a “NSB SpeedCash transfer receipt”, even if both of them are not account holders of NSB.

  • Withdrawal from Savings Account

    The sender may handover a duly filled SpeedCash transfer receipt, indicating the relevant Savings Account to be debited to the branch, for the amount to be transferred. In this transaction method, while the sender is an account holder, the recipient may not be an account holder.

  • Internet Banking

    Customers who have availed themselves for the NSB Internet Banking facility can transfer funds by debiting their accounts to the intended recipients, who can then receive the funds over the counter, from any NSB branch.

How to collect cash?

The recipient could visit any NSB branch and obtain the fund transferred in cash by providing the PIN number and the NIC.

Are there any fund transfer limits?

Yes, there are. The minimum amount of cash a person could transfer through “NSB SpeedCash” is Rs. 1000/- and the maximum amount is Rs. 2 million. One transaction is permitted per person per day.

Are there any service charges involved?

Yes, there is a nominal fee.
